2022 02/18 – Clifford Rowcliff

Clifford Rowcliff, 68, of Sandoval, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. Clifford worked as a welder for 25 plus years. He enjoyed camping, shooting pool, going to Demo Derbies and car races. Clifford cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren, family and friends.

Funeral Services for Clifford Rowcliff will be held Friday, February 18, 2022 at 12:00 PM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia. Visitation will be held Friday, February 18, 2022 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618)532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Rowcliff Family. He later married Dana Self in 1995 and she survives. In addition to his wife of 26 years, Dana Rowcliff of Sandoval, he is also survived by his son: Clifford W. Rowcliff and wife Kristi of Central City; step-son: Nicholas Smith and wife Megan of Centralia; six grandchildren: Ashlie Hails, Dylan Rowcliff, Matthew Day, Haylee Smith, Ayden Smith and Jace Smith; five brothers: Howard Rowcliff, John Rowcliff, Francis Rowcliff, Herman Rowcliff, Bill Rowcliff; two sisters: Christine Johnson and Wilma Ward; several nieces and nephews.

He was born January 25, 1954 in Fairbury, Illinois, the son of the son of Cyril Rowcliff and Hazel Virginia (Bull) Rowcliff. He married Debbie Mays and she preceded him in death in 1994. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, six brothers: Harold Rowcliff, Charles Rowcliff, Jim Rowcliff, Wesley Rowcliff, Henry Rowcliff, and Francis Rowcliff, and six sisters: Trudy Rowcliff, Josephine Rowcliff, Wanita Altom, Carol Hancock, Esther Rowcliff and Helen Hull.
