2022 02/18 – William “Bill” Simcox

William “Bill” Simcox, 74, of Centralia, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022 at his home. Bill loved living his life to the fullest. He enjoyed playing in the pool league at the Block Tavern. He worked at Gilster for many years and he was also a cook at the Hoffman House. Bill cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.

Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a Visitation will be held Friday, February 18, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home and Cremation Services at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618)532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Simcox Family. Bill is survived by three daughters: Jodie Ramsey of Centralia, Deborah Simcox Ruiz of Centralia and B.J. Simcox of Centralia; six grandchildren: Jared, Brittany, Mica, Tana, Ericka and Kisha; 18 great-grandchildren and one on the way and 1 great-great grandchild and one of the way; his brother: Jack Simcox of Centralia; and several nieces and nephews.

He was born November 29, 1947, in Centralia, the son of Leslie Simcox and Martha (Scott) Simcox. He was preceded in death by his parents, son: Brian Simcox, grandson: Blake Miller, brother: Phil Simcox and a nephew: Danny Donoho.
