2022 02/09 – Angela Marie “Angie” Chartrand

Angela Marie “Angie” Chartrand, age 53, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 8:40 P.M. on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia, Illinois. Angie was an avid fan of the Saint Louis Cardinals, and she would watch a baseball game every time she had a chance to do so. She loved listening to country music, especially the music of Patsy Cline and Bee Gees. She enjoyed working on puzzle books. Angie enjoyed life, and she was known to be simple, laid back, and with no cares in the world. She never met a stranger. She cherished the time she spent with her family, and friends around her. Angie was of the Catholic faith, and she was baptized at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Edwardsville, Illinois. She graduated from Saint Joseph Vocational Academy in Saint Louis, Missouri. Angie was a packager with Kaskaskia Workshop in Centralia, Illinois, for 17 years. Earlier in life, she was a stock person and accountant for Bill’s Interstate in Edwardsville, Illinois, for 5 years. Angie most recently lived with her friends in the Berry Cottage at Warren G. Murray Center in Centralia, Illinois, where she has been a resident for the last 17 years, and formerly lived in Edwardsville, Illinois, with her parents.

It was the wishes of the family of Miss Angela Marie “Angie” Chartrand for her to be cremated. There will be no visitation nor services. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Edwardsville, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Angie’s honor to the Murray Center Parents Association and may be received at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home at 134 South Elm Street in Centralia, Illinois. Angie is survived by her loving family; parents, Bill Chartrand and Linda Chartrand of Mount Olive, Illinois; and many cousins and friends.
Angie was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ed Chartrand and Florence Marie Chartrand; maternal grandparents, William Elledge and Rose Alice Elledge; uncles, Bill Elledge, Larry Chartrand, Joe Chartrand, and Norb Dickman; and aunts, Mary Witt, Pat Christie, and Treva Chartrand.

She was born on Saturday, January 25, 1969, in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of William Lee “Bill and Linda Fay (Elledge) Chartrand.
