Jackie Lee Dobyns, age 53 of Odin, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. Jackie was of the Baptist Faith. She worked as a Registered Nurse for many years at Fireside Nursing Home. She was a strong supporter of the humane society, and was always willing to take in any animal that needed a home. Her hobbies included anything with art, crafts, painting, or drawing.
Funeral services for Jackie Dobyns will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with Claude Howell officiating. Burial will be in Peaceful Valley Cemetery in Odin. Visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until the time of the service on Sunday. She married Randy Dobyns on October 8, 1989, in Salem at the Church of God and he survives in Odin. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Nancy Edwards of Centralia; two children, Dereck Dobyns and wife Lacie of Kenosha, Wisconsin and Jessica Dobyns of Odin; one granddaughter, Lauren Lewis; Jackie’s faithful dog, Marco; and three siblings, Verna Bonner and husband Dan of Walnut Hill, Wallace Kirk Hall of Alma, and Julia McCarty of Salem.
Jackie was born on March 29, 1968 in Salem the daughter of Vernon E. and Nancy (Middleton) Hall. She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Hall; one son, Gabriel Lee Dobyns; two siblings, Tammy Lorraine Hall and Daniel Eric Hall; and one niece, Amy Morlan.
