Lorene Meier, 86, of Centralia, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022, at her home.

She was born November 22, 1935, in Knowles, Oklahoma, the daughter of Leonard Moore and Pauline (Easton) Moore. She married Clarence Meier on March 5, 1956, and he survives in Centralia.

In addition to her husband of 65 years, she is also survived by her son: Dale Meier of Centralia; four grandchildren: Jessica Meier Hanks and husband Chris of New Town, Missouri, Jan Dalton and husband Robbie of Centralia, Jared Meier and wife Becky of Highland, and Jamie Meier of Centralia; seven great-grandchildren: Abbigail, Meadow, Amiyah, Ezrah, Delylah all of Centralia and Olivia and Ronan both of Highland; a brother: Roger Moore and wife Dena of Manchester, Tennessee; a sister: Linda Hill of Hoffman; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Leonard and Pauline Moore and a brother-in-law: Gene Hill.

Lorene worked at Little Fuse for several years and later retired. She co-owned Sisters Unlimited with her sister, Linda, for five years. She enjoyed shopping for shoes and lace. She attended Grace Fellowship in Centralia for many years. Lorene loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Lorene Meier will be held Thursday, January 13, 2022, at 6:00 PM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia with Pastor Alan Nollman officiating. A Private Entombment will be held at a later date at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hoffman Fire Department and/or the Relay for Life Clinton County and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618)532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Meier Family.
