Patricia A. Palmer, 74,of Salem, Illinois passed away peacefully, December 24, 2021 at Salem Township Hospital. A homemaker, she loved her children, grandchildren, gardening and working in her yard, flower gardening and her doggies.

The family chose simple cremation with no public service and private burial at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Donor’s choice and will be accepted by the Sutherland – Rankin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 97, 310 N. Surviving are her children Johnny Negron (Michele Moritz) of Lake Whales, FL, Jody Wood, Lake Zurich, IL, her granddaughter Dawn Wood, and great granddaughter Samantha Hall whom she raised as her children both of Salem. She is also survived by her siblings Charles Wood of Salem, IL, Johnny Wood of Michigan, and Linda LeDesma (Andrew Florczyk) of Chicago, along with several other grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a dear friend, Patsy Crippen of Salem, IL.

Born January 16, 1947 in Kaymore, West Virginia, she was the daughter of James H. and Trusby Ellen (JKelley) Wood who preceded her in death. She was married to LaRell Glenn Palmer who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Manuel Scott Wood.
