A 48-year-old Salem woman was arrested for aggravated battery to a police officer following an altercation in the Salem Township Hospital Emergency Room on Monday.
Salem Police say they were initially called when a doctor in the emergency room was having problems with Misty Kelly of South Rotan Street. While assisting the doctor, police say Kelly kicked an officer resulting in her arrest.
Kelly was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a final decision on formal charges.
