Tony Clayton Guard II, age 47 of Salem, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at his home. Tony worked as an Engineer on the Canadian National Railroad. He was a member of the Grace Church of the Nazarene in Salem.
There will be a celebration of life service on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Noon at the Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with Mac Dalton officiating. There will be a time to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to Tony’s children with checks made payable to Jo Lynn Guard. He married Jo Lynn Dalton on July 17, 1998 in Gatlinburg, TN and she survives in Salem. Survivors include his wife, Jo Lynn Guard; mother, Ann Guard of Alvin, TX; children, Alyssa Guard of IN, Caly Guard of Salem, Cadyn Guard and wife Sam of Murray, KY, and Kami Guard of Salem; grandchildren, Carter Guard of Salem and Novalee Russell of Ina. He was also survived by several brothers and sisters.
Tony was born on August 27, 1974 in Olney, Illinois, the son of Tony Clayton and Ann (Higgins) Guard. He was preceded in death by his father and maternal grandparents.
