Roger Jones, age 68 of Alma, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021. Roger was a member of the Alma Christian Church. He was a farmer and oil producer. He previously worked at World Color Press in Salem. He loved to hunt and fish, but most of all spending time with his family. Roger graduated from Kinmundy Alma High School and McKendree College.
Funeral services for Roger Jones will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021, at Noon at Alma Christian Church with Randy VanAusdall officiating. Burial will follow at Sandy Branch Cemetery in Kinmundy. There will be a visitation on Monday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Kinmundy- Alma EMTs for their Christmas for Kids and can be left at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem who is assisting the family with arrangements. He married Cathy DeVore on August 31, 1979, in Tennessee and she survives in Alma. Survivors include his wife, Cathy Jones, children, Jennifer Liggett and husband Shane, Joe Jones and wife Candice, and Elly Jones and special friend Adam Winkel; brother, Stan Jones and wife Linda; and a brother-in-law: Jim Brubaker; 9 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
Roger was born on August 21, 1953, in Salem, IL the son of Floyd and Margie (Conant) Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Margie Jones, a son, Dusty Jones and a sister, Connie Brubaker
