Fire has destroyed a cabin in the southeast part of Jefferson County.
Jefferson Fire Protection District officials say no one was around the 20 by 20 foot building off Halley Road a mile east of Belle Rive when it was discovered fully ablaze around six Monday night. The ownership of the building was not immediately known. There were no other buildings around.
Bluford and Dahlgren Firemen were called for mutual aid assistance.
Firemen were on the scene for about an hour.
