An 18-year-old Centralia man was formally charged in Marion County Court on Monday with child pornography.
Garrick Hiltibidal of Fairway Drive is accused of possessing a video on his cell phone depicting a child under 18 engaged in a sexual act.
Centralia Police began the investigation after the mother of an underage girl brought a link to the video that had reportedly been placed on social media. Her daughter had reportedly run away to avoid having contact with her mother if she learned of the video.
Bond for Hiltibidal was set at $7,500. The public defender was appointed to represent him.
