The Marion County Sheriff’s Department says a 31-year-old Kinmundy woman has been arrested on six Class X felony charges in connection with sexual activities with a child under the age of six. The charges against Vickie Odum of Wilcoxin Road include two counts apiece for predatory criminal sexual assault to a child under 13 along and four counts of child pornography.
Bond on the arrest warrant executed over the weekend is set at a half-million dollars. The investigation began on October 24th when the sheriff’s department was given information about the pornographic videos. Two of the child pornography charges are for allegedly filming the acts in the two videos. The other two are for allegedly sending the videos to another person.
Sheriff’s investigators determined the video included a sexual assault on a person she knew under the age of six. The charges say the sex assault occurred in July or August and the child pornography offenses between August and October.
The investigation included the issuance of several search warrants to recover digital evidence.
