Nancy Jo (Williams) Satterthwaite-Bauerle, 74, of Salem passed away on November 18, 2021, in Jefferson County, IL.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, rural Ramsey. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from1:00-2:00pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Douglas Vet Clinic in Salem. Nancy Jo Williams was born January 22, 1947, in Vandalia, the daughter of Raymond and Delores (Augustine) Williams. Nancy worked alongside her first husband John on their family farm. After John and Nancy separated, she later married Samuel Bauerle in 1991 and was the office manager for Sam at Bauerle Law Office in Salem.
She is survived by her son, Patrick Satterthwaite and wife Kaci of Brownstown; daughter, Lori and husband Ray Hewerdine of Ludlow; stepson, Seth Bauerle of Westmoreland, TN; daughters in law, Kathy Brown of Gainesville, GA and Melissa Satterthwaite of Ft. Wayne, IN; sister, Sandra and husband Jerry Swarm of Vandalia; brother in law, Jim Bowen of Vandalia; grandchildren, Sheldon Sean Satterthwaite Jr. and wife Allison, Katy Jo and husband Ben Cripe, Shane Hewerdine, Lukas Hewerdine, Ella Grace Satterthwaite, Asa Patrick Satterthwaite, Lillian Marie Satterthwaite, Jonah Arthur Jacob Satterthwaite; great-grandchildren, Amelia, Emma, and Valerie Satterthwaite, Bennett and Jace Cripe, and Brantley Hewerdine.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, John Satterthwaite and Samuel Bauerle; sons, Sheldon Sean Satterthwaite Sr. and John “BJ” Satterthwaite Jr.; sister, Mary Bowen.
