Kell Grade School will go on full remote learning next week.
Principal SarahBeth Ferrell says the decision was made because of the growing number of students who were on quarantine for being close contacts to positive COVID-19 cases. She notes the growing numbers follow a staff member testing positive earlier in the week that resulted in one other staff member and seven students being placed into quarantine.
Ferrell says Kell Grade School students have been prepared to go on remote learning since the beginning of school and she feels they have a good plan in place. All students have a computer assigned to them. Farrell notes by being full remote during the short two and a half-day school week will give everyone a chance to get well.
Kell Grade School plans to resume in-person learning on Monday, November 30th. This is the first time this year the school has had to go on full remote learning.
