Renee Diane Smyser, 52, of Bonnie, Illinois, passed away at 11:35 am November 16, 2021 at Missouri Baptist Select Specialty Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri. Renee loved to bake and to share her baked goods with co-workers and family. She will be dearly missed.
A Visitation will be held Friday, November 19, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newell Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 10:00 am at Newell Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Mr. Britt Fullerton officiating. Renee is survived by her sister, Charlotte Huntman and husband, Mike of Mount Vernon, Illinois; brothers, Michael Summers and wife, Susan of Scheller, Illinois, Douglas Summers and wife, Angie of Bonnie, Illinois; several nieces and nephews; and special fur babies, Rudy J.B. and Tanner.
She was born August 22, 1969 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late Thomas Edward and Wanda June (Brown) Summers. In addition to her parents, Renee was preceded in death by her son, Darrel Summers.
