John W. “Pops” Kuberski, 79, of Patoka passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Odin Health Care Center. Mr. Kuberski was a proud United States Army veteran whose service earned him a Bronze Star during the Vietnam war era. He had a great understanding of technology and utilized this knowledge while working for and later retiring from FEMA as an IT technician. John liked to learn new abilities and he could really “do it all”. He worked on engines, did electrical work, and even built two homes from the ground up. John was kind to and loved all animals. He was wonderful with children and a true “baby whisperer” who could charm any baby he met. John and his wife Shelbie made many great memories while traveling in their RV to escape the cold of Illinois winters. John will be remembered as an honest man, and a hard worker, who shared his kindness with everyone.
