Melvin Francis Wisniewski of McKinney, Texas passed away on October 12, 2021 at the age of 82. Melvin graduated Class of 1956 from Newman High School. He married Marcella R. St. Mary on June 8, 1956 in Wausau, Wisconsin. Melvin enjoyed fishing, hunting and family vacations. His true-life passion was music which he taught himself by playing the accordion. Melvin started Wisniewski Bros. Music Company in Salem, Illinois in 1963. He had several locations in the Midwest. Melvin retired in 2008. He was a longtime member of St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church in McKinney, Texas.
A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. A visitation will immediately follow from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 15, 2021 at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 411 Paula Road, McKinney, Texas 75069.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marcella Wisniewski of McKinney, Texas; daughters, Kathleen Brockington and husband, Richard of Celina, Texas, Christine Garich and husband, Edward of Allen, Texas, and Cheryl Myers and husband, Rick of Henderson, Tennessee; son, David Wisniewski and Denise Moore of Eutawville, South Carolina; 10 grandchildren, Kara, Kristin, Christopher, Eric, Jennifer, Michelle, Anthony, Nathan, Ashley and Andrew; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Melvin Francis Wisniewski was born on December 11, 1938 to John and Margaret (Green) Wisniewski in Wausau, Wisconsin. Melvin was preceded in death by his parents; son, James Wisniewski; and brother, Joseph Wisniewski.
