Cars and pickups came decked out with signs promoting the re-election of Donald Trump to participate in a Trump Parade through Marion County on Saturday.

Organizers counted 125 participating vehicles that gathered at Bryan Memorial Park for the parade that then moved through Odin, Sandoval, Centralia, up Interstate 57 to Farina and then south on Route 37 through Kinmundy and Alma before ending at Bryan Memorial Park.

Teri Robertson organized the event patterned after similar parades that have taken place across the country.

“I think it’s great.  When I originally planned it I wasn’t expecting this great of a turnout.  I want to show people that even though we live in a Democrat state that we still have our freedoms and we can vote Republican.”

Another parade is being planned for Sunday, November 1st.

Robertson says their goal is to get everyone out to vote for the November 3rd election.
