2021 10/12 – Susan J. Wooden

Susan J. Wooden, 65, of Owensville, Missouri, and formerly of Bluford, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021, in Kinmundy. Susan graduated from Webber Township High School, and earned her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Kaskaskia College. She was a Registered Nurse, and worked in multiple locations in Illinois and Missouri throughout her career. She was a member of Owensville Christian Church, in Owensville, Missouri, and enjoyed crocheting and sewing.

Graveside Funeral services for Mrs. Wooden will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Elder Cemetery in Kinmundy, with Nick Gersert officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, October 11, 2021, from 5:00 p.m., until 7:00 p.m., at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix. On September 10, 1988, at Donoho Prairie Christian Church, she married Rocky Wooden, and he survives. In addition to her husband, Rocky Wooden of Owensville, Missouri, she is survived by her mother, Nona Eller of Bluford;  son, Ryan Wooden and girlfriend Jessie Wildrick of Simms, Indiana;  one brother, Dale Eller of Bluford;  and sister, Joyce Olmsted and husband Lloyd of Salem.

She was born March 20, 1956, in Centralia, Illinois, the daughter of Lawrence “L.C.” and Nona (Simmons) Eller. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence “L.C.” Eller; two brothers, Jim and Johnny Eller; and a sister-in-law, Joane Eller.
