Police beat for Saturday, October 3rd, 2020

Centralia Police arrested two people on drug charges following a traffic stop at McCord and Pleasant early Saturday morning.  The driver, 33-year-old Andrew Barringer of South Pine in Centralia, is being held for possession of a controlled substance and driving on a revoked license.  A passenger, 26-year-old Blake Shafran of Lakewood Drive in Centralia, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and criminal trespass to land.   Both were taken to the Marion County Jail.

Salem Police arrested 41-year-old Darren Hall of South Poplar in Centralia on a Marion County failure to appear warrant in a pending domestic battery case.  Bond is set at $5,000.

42-year-old Samuel Jones in Centralia was arrested on a petition to revoke his probation on a possession of controlled substance conviction and a new charge of resisting arrest.  Centralia Police say they initially spotted Jones riding a bike.  He reportedly left the bike and fled on foot.  He was arrested following a brief foot chase.  Bond on the warrant is set at $5,000.
