Bette Kagy Mosher, age 97 of Iuka, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Lavender Ridge Memory Care in Mt. Vernon.
Bette was born on July 4, 1924, in Chicago, the daughter of Robert and Rose Alice (Pratt) Neumann. She married John Kagy on May 31, 1947, in Champaign, and he preceded her in death. She later married Robert Mosher on January 1, 1994, and he also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her five children, Alice Esslinger and husband Terry of Idaho, Jack Kagy and wife Sue of Iuka, Dick Kagy of Indiana, Kathy Hayes of Iuka, and Tom Kagy of Arkansas; one brother, Bob Neumann and wife Connie of Georgia; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Bette was a member of Salem Presbyterian Church. She was a retired teacher from Salem Community High School. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and working puzzles.
Funeral services for Bette Kagy Mosher will be held at noon on Friday, October 1, 2021, at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Interment will follow at East Lawn Cemetery in Salem. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and can be received at Crouse Funeral Home.
