Terry L. Murry, 71, of Waltonville, Illinois, passed away on September 17, 2021, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
He was born December 12, 1949, to the late William B. and Martha Jean (Minor) Murry. Terry married Mary (VanHoorebeke) Murry in February 2002. They were blessed with nineteen years of marriage.
In addition to his beloved wife, Terry is survived by his children, Gale Murry and significant other, Amber Zemla of Scheller, Illinois, Angela Robinson and husband, Van of Vergennes, Illinois, Charlie Isom and wife, Andi Jo of Christopher, Illinois, Eric Dees and wife, Dana of Charleston, South Carolina, and Sara Alvis and husband, Dereck of Benton, Illinois; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; siblings, Larry Murry, Janet Lancombe, and Teresa Bolton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by one sister; and one grandson.
Terry worked for Peabody Coal for many years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a long-time member of the Sesser Coon Club. Terry will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Visitation will be held Sunday, September 26, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Newell Funeral Home in Waltonville. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, September 27, 2021, at 11:00 am at Newell Funeral Home in Waltonville. Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Sesser, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Terry’s honor to the Sesser Coon Club.
