William “Bill” Weatherford, age 70 of Salem, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at his home.
Bill was born on March 24, 1951 in Louisville, KY the son of Jack and Dorothy (Morris) Weatherford. He married Ada (Lanham) Weatherford on November 22, 1980 in Salem and she survives in Salem.
Survivors include his wife, Ada; son, Bill Weatherford and significant other Carrie of Nixa, MO; siblings, Joyce Davis of Salem, Bonnie Hood and husband Johnny of KY, Donna Holman and husband Larry of KY, Sandy Tabor and husband Tom of Salem, and Andrea Weatherford of Salem; grandchildren, Lily, Brody, and Grayson; and his special buddies, Rico and Gizmo.
He was preceded in death by his parent and 4 sisters, Doris Wilson, Patty Daley, Sharon Coleman, and Brenda Lorenz.
Bill worked as a binder at World Color Press and later worked for Schutt Helmet Factory. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Celebration of Life services for William “Bill” Weatherford will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church Gymnasium. Memorial contributions can be made to the Salem Animal Shelter and can be left at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem who is assisting the family with arrangements.
