Morris D. Kinison, 87, of Woodlawn, Illinois, passed away at 9:36 pm September 16, 2021 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
A Visitation will be held Monday, September 20, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 1:00 pm with Reverend Merle Fullerton officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Mount Vernon. Morris is survived by his children, David Paul Kinison and wife, Lisa and Sarah Diana Kinison, all of Mount Vernon; sister, Cathy Bevis of Fairfield, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
He was born February 11, 1934 in Mount Vernon to the late Warren Hinckley and Vivian Leta (Hughey) Kinison. Morris married Martha Rachel (Williams) Kinison on September 28, 1958 in Justice, Illinois. They were blessed with 60 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on November 20, 2018. In addition to his parents and beloved wife, Morris was preceded in death by his son, Robert Alan Kinison; and siblings, Sharon Rae Shewmake and Carla Rossio.
