Wilma M. McMahan, 90, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 6:00 am September 16, 2021 at Mount Vernon Countryside Manor.
A Graveside Service will be held Monday, September 20, 2021 at 1:00 pm at South Hickory Hill Cemetery in Mount Vernon with Chaplain Brad Garner officiating. Interment will follow. Wilma is survived by her children, Connie Geuvens and husband, Mike of Mount Vernon, Ronald McMahan and wife, Donna of Woodlawn, Illinois, and Danial McMahan and wife, Lela of Mount Vernon; twelve grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; twenty-two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was born April 7, 1931 in Jefferson County, Illinois to the late Burtice and Elizabeth (Wells) Brown. Wilma married Billie J. McMahan on March 21, 1948 in Morganfield, Kentucky. They were blessed with 64 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on June 15, 2012. In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Wilma was preceded in death by her siblings, Leroy Brown, Lester Brown, Rosella Marcum, Hilda Phelps, and Betty McMahan.
