Ralph Leonard Jarnagin Jr., age 72 of Salem, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at SSM Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. Ralph was the owner and operator of Jarnagin Fence Company in Salem for many years. He was a member of the Odin Masonic Lodge and a Shriner.
There will be Masonic rites by the Odin Masonic Lodge at 7:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life services on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem. There will be a visitation from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Survivors include his wife, Lori of Salem; children, Sada Hempen of Salem, Miles Jarnagin of Salem, David Jarnagin and wife Tonia of Salem, and James Jarnagin and wife Christina of Salem; step children, Tawnie Deadmond and husband Gary of Salem, Kandice Hempen and special friend Cody Upton of Carlyle, and Nick Hempen and fiancé Brooke Oller of MO; brothers, Ronnie Jarnagin and Stanley Jarnagin and wife Judy both of Chattanooga, TN; and step sister, Tammy Johnson of Chattanooga, TN. He was also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ralph was born on December 25, 1948 in Chattanooga, TN, the son of Ralph Leonard Jarnagin Sr. and Kathryn Jarnagin. He married Lori (Bock) Jarnagin on October 12, 2007 in Odin, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; step mother, Joyce Jarnagin; and a great granddaughter, Myleigh Jarnagin.
