Dorothy Nance, 87, of Centralia was welcomed to her eternal home, into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 11, 2021.
Dorothy was a bright, shining light for Jesus. She was a devoted member and sister of New Covenant Ministries in Centralia. She also shared in worship times at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, and Lively Stone Apostolic Church both in Centralia. Known as a true prayer warrior, Dorothy would begin her days on the phone with her prayer groups, that stretched across many states, coming together for prayer needs. She loved to stay close to Jesus and spend time in the Lord’s house. Dorothy never missed a day reading in her bible gaining spiritual nourishment to ensure her walk would remain in God’s will.
She was an amazing storyteller, captivating her audience with her contagious personality. Dorothy had a heart of gold, who would do anything for anyone in need. She was a wonderful influence in many children’s lives as she was a caregiver for many Centralia families. Dorothy will be remembered for her sweet demeanor and was well respected by all who knew her. She may have been small in size, but she knew who she truly was and walked in the authority of one of God’s daughters. Dorothy loved and appreciated her family and counted each of them as a blessing. She was grateful to be a Granny and GG to her beautiful, precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dorothy’s life was an inspiring example of what it looks like to live out your faith in a way for all to see Jesus, and her legacy will continue in the best parts of all those she knew and loved.
