The Centralia High School Board of Education held a bond hearing at the start of its regular meeting on Thursday for intent to sell bonds to pay for work on the sidewalk and repaving the parking lot. The board has received a bid from Rooters Asphalt for $748,500 to complete the project. Salem Police arrested a 17-year-old homeless Salem juvenile wanted on multiple charges following a short foot chase Thursday night. The juvenile had allegedly led police on a chase March 19th in a vehicle that had earlier been stolen. Salem Police arrested a Salem man for residential burglary and possession of a controlled substance after a resident saw on a phone security system someone was inside her house. A 33-year-old Centralia man was taken into custody at the Marion County Courthouse on Thursday for revocation of his pre-trial release. The Marion County Health Department distributed 955 boxes of Narcan during the past fiscal year.
