Police Beat for Tuesday, April 12th, 2022

Salem Police have arrested a 39-year-old Salem man for alleged domestic battery. Anthony Quesada of Jeanne Drive is accused of striking and grabbing the hair of another resident of the home. He was gone at the time police were called to the home at 2:12 Monday morning, but was located later in the morning and taken to the Marion County Jail.

26-year-old Davis Trae’on of St. Louis was arrested by Salem Police on an outstanding Marion County warrant for driving on a suspended license. Trae’on was arrested following a traffic stop in the 1500 block of West Main Street.

32-year-old Anthony Hays of Church Street n Salem was arrested by Marion County sheriff’s deputies for driving on a suspended or revoked license. He was released after being given a notice to appear in court.

A southbound semi ran off I-57 near the Boone Street overpass for an unknown reason early Monday night. Initial information indicates the truck went through the middle of an IDOT sign indicating the Salem exit was one mile ahead. Salem Fire was called out, but canceled when it was determined the driver
escaped injury.
