Centralia Fire Chief John Lynch says there was minor damage to the bedroom of a home in an early Sunday night fire.
He reports the blaze at the Sharon Smith home at 1031 North Maple apparently started from a juvenile who set a towel on fire.
The blaze spread to the carpeting and created a big hole before family members got the fire put out before the fire departments arrival.
Lynch says firemen made sure the fire was out upon their arrival.
The home is owned by Henry Dabney.
The call came in at 6:08 Sunday night.
