Police Beat for Thursday, March 24th, 2022

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department has arrested a 47-year-old Kinmundy man for aggravated battery to a police officer, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.   Jason Hall of State Route 37 allegedly fought with one deputy and kicked another while they were trying to arrest him for disorderly conduct.   Deputies had initially been called to the Hall home for a domestic disturbance.

A student at the Centralia Annex was arrested by Centralia Police for aggravated battery to a security guard at the school.  Isaiah Shelton of the Hoyleton Children’s Home allegedly scratched the wrist of the guard after allegedly becoming confrontational and resisting arrest.

24-year-old Ashley Wright of Heritage Drive in Kinmundy turned herself into Salem Police on an outstanding failure to appear warrant in a misdemeanor retail theft case.   She was taken to the Marion County Jail where she posted $250 bond and was released.

30-year-old Jeremy Woodward of South Hickory in Centralia posted $500 bond and was released on a Clinton County failure to appear in court warrant.

44-year-old Rashawn Watts of Joliet turned himself in on a Marion County misdemeanor failure to appear warrant and was released after posting $150 bond.

47-year-old Scott Huelsmann of Rod and Gun Road in Breese was sentenced to 24 hours in the Marion County Jail for contempt of court.
