The Marion County Health Department reports no additional deaths from COVID-19 related causes for the second week in a row. The county’s death toll during the pandemic deaths to date is 212.
Health Department Administrator Melissa Mallow reports at this time there is just one Marion County congregate-care facility that remains on outbreak status.
The State of Illinois on Friday announced 7,467 new cases of COVID-19 during the past week along with 123 new deaths statewide. As of Thursday night, 528 were in the hospital with COVID-19, including 88 in ICU and 35 on ventilators.
