The Shelby and Boone Street intersection in Salem is now a four way stop.
The city council voted in February to add stop signs on Shelby Street due to accidents and near accidents that have occurred at the intersection.
City Manager Rex Barbee says to draw attention to the need for those on Shelby Street to now stop, flashing red lights have been put up along with the stop signs.
