Salem Police say one person was injured in a three-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon at West Main and the northbound exit ramp from I-57.
Police report the crash occurred when a pickup driven by 27-year-old Alexandria Russell of Henderson, Kentucky was traveling southbound on the exit ramp when it collided with a car stop waiting to turn onto West Main. The impact forced the car driven by 53-year-old Brett Andricks of Moweaqua, Illinois into the westbound lanes of West Main Street where it struck the trailer of a passing semi driven by 52-year-old Kevin Knuckols-Phillips of Diane, Texas.
Andricks was the only person who complained of injury. He was transported to Salem Township Hospital for treatment of an apparent minor head injury.
Russell was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
The crash occurred at 3:13 Thursday afternoon.
