Marion County reporting two move COVID-19 related deaths; Fayette and Washington County have single deaths

The Marion County Health Department is reporting two more COVID-19 related deaths in the past four days.

The deaths were a male in his 60s who was not vaccinated and had been in the hospital on a ventilator.  The other victim is also a male in his 60s who was not fully vaccinated and was in the hospital.   Neither was long-term care residents.  The two deaths bring the death total during the pandemic to 155.

The Marion County Health Department is reporting 28 new cases over the weekend and on Monday and Tuesday.   None were fully vaccinated.  Six were of school age, two are four years old and younger.   None were long-term care residents.

There are now 91 active cases, including two in the hospital and none on ventilators.  100 were released from isolation over the four-day period.

The Washington County Health Department is reporting their 34th COVID-19 related death, a male in his 70s.

The Fayette County Health Department for last week indicates the county has had another COVID related death, bringing their total to 65.
