Salem Police have arrested a 20-year-old Salem man for alleged misdemeanor criminal sexual abuse.
Detectives say Austin Unsell of East Bryan is accused of having consensual sex with a then 16-year-old girl resulting in her becoming pregnant. The charge is a misdemeanor because the age difference between the two is less than five years.
Unsell agreed to come to the Salem Police Department for questioning on Thursday and was then arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail where he posted $150 bond and was released.
