ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Heavy rainfall from thunderstorms may lead to flash flooding primarily this afternoon and evening. The combined rainfall from the last few days and continuing into Saturday will lead to widespread flooding of local creeks, streams, and rivers.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 211 AM CDT, emergency management reported heavy rain in the warned area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Centralia, Salem, Vandalia, Breese, Carlyle, St. Elmo, Sandoval, Germantown, Albers, Wamac, Central City, Odin, Beckemeyer, Kinmundy, Brownstown, Irvington, Patoka, Tamalco, Farina and Omega. - This includes the following State Parks... Carlyle Lake Recreational Area. This includes the following highways... Interstate 64 in Illinois near exit 34. Interstate 70 in Illinois between exits 68 and 76. Interstate 57 in Illinois between exits 109 and 135.
