Centralia Acting City Manager Derrick Sherman is overall pleased with the Greater Centralia Job Expo held over the weekend. He reviewed the results.

“95 people that were definitely interested in jobs.  We had 2 day of hires out there which is exciting and we had a bunch more applications taken out.  We are going to follow up with those who attended and the employers to see if anything else materializes from those applications or if because of the marketing if they were able to get more hires just in general were able to get more hires on their websites.”

Sherman says a large number of jobs still remain open in the Centralia area.

“We still have most of those if not all of those jobs available on our website.  You can look at them, apply and call and inquire about other jobs.”

Sherman thanked Castle Ridge for hosting the event as well as the committee for their work in putting the expo together and providing the manpower to assist applicants.
