Police Beat for Friday, August 20th, 2021

A 22-year-old Salem man has been arrested on several weapons charges after a gun was found in his vehicle following a traffic stop in the 500 block of West Main Street Thursday morning.

Salem Police took Shakeem Johnson of Mills Cart Road in Salem to the Marion County Jail for alleged unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a firearm and ammunition without a FOID card.

Centralia Police arrested 32-year-old Dustin Higgins of East Scott in Sandoval with possession of meth, meth delivery, possession of drug paraphernalia and adult use of cannabis in motor vehicle.

Salem Police arrested 32-year-old Anthony Arnold of West Lake in Salem for alleged domestic battery and criminal trespass to state supported property. He was taken into custody after police were called to a domestic disturbance in a Marion County Housing Unit in the 700 block of Senneff.

36-year-old Neal Durham of Caleb Road in Louisville was arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies on a Clay County traffic warrant. He remains in jail in lieu of $5,000 bond.

37-year-old Marcus Walker of 9th Street n Carlyle was arrested by Centralia Police on an outstanding Marion County felony failure to appear warrant and Clinton County misdemeanor failure to appear warrant. Bond on each warrant is set at $5,000.

50-year-old Lyndell Heinzmann of Kinmundy Road in Kinmundy was arrested on a Jefferson County small claims warrant following a traffic stop by sheriff’s deputies. He was released after posting $100 bond.
