The President of the Central City Lions Club says they were impressed with the crowds for the four performances of the Culpepper Merriweather Circus in the Central City Lions Park over the weekend.
Austin Harvey feared the extremely hot weather on Friday may have kept crowds down, but it didn’t. He thinks everyone was just ready to get out following the COVID-19 restrictions.
Harvey was also impressed with the quality of the circus that is scheduled to return to the area in two years.
He reports the funds will be used for ongoing Lions Club projects.
