Centralia Fire Chief John Lynch says nurses had put out a fire in a third floor patient room before their arrival late Thursday afternoon.
Lynch says the department helped clear smoke from the room. He reports the Centralia Fire Department investigator is working with the hospital staff on the cause of the fire which remains under investigation. Lynch says the cause was accidental.
Firemen were called at 4:30 Thursday afternoon.
