The Franklin Park Lady Bobcats trailed 4-0 early but came back to beat Carlyle 5-4 and win their Class L Regional championship. The game was tied at 4 in the bottom of the fifth after Brinn Detmer grounded out, Mira Deadmond walked, Josey Gibson tripled down the right field line each scoring a run and Salem scored on a wild pitch. Skylar Gaston earned the win allowing 2 earned runs over 7 innings striking out 3. Kaylee Carroll and Gwen Goosetree added a hit for Salem.
At Patoka today in semifinal play, Patoka will host Iuka at 4pm followed by Raccoon and Rome at 6.
Today in Class S regional championship games, Willow Grove/St Mary will host Albers/Damiansville. In Region 6, Waltonville will play St Mary/OBR.
In Class M last night in Region 7 it was Nashville shutting out All Saints 15-0 and Okawville doing the same to Breese District 12 with the same 15-0 final.
