The Franklin Park Bobcats fell in their regional championship baseball game to Wesclin 5-1 at Rotary Park in Centralia.
Wesclin played excellent defense behind lefty Lucas Crawford who went the distance allowing 4 hits and struck out 1. Nolan Krutsinger, Easton Keller, Ethan Parrett and Nash Mulvany all singled for Salem who hit a lot of hard balls just right at Wesclin defenders.
On the mound, Keller and Krutsinger combined for 9 strikeouts and no earned runs as a few errors proved costly in the 4 run 5th inning for Wesclin.
Salem’s season ends at 9-8-and-2.
