This Saturday, for the fourth year, Drew Baldridge returns to his hometown of Patoka for the Big Baldridge and Bonfire. Baldridge headlines the event and will be performing his hit music, promoting his “Farm, Faith, Family” album, as well as sharing the stage with local artists.
“It’s going to be a lot of good local fun,” Baldridge said. “My buddy John Speiser is going to get up and he’s going to play. We do a really cool artist spotlight every night where we have a local artist jump up and sing a song. It’s what we’ve been doing out here on tour, so we’re going to have another local artist jump up and sing that night. We’re also going to be having a local sing the national anthem. We try to give back as much local as possible while doing this.”
Baldridge said Saturday’s event marks a significant step forward for the band.
“We’re selling vinyl and CDs. We’ve never had a vinyl before, so this is exciting for us. We’re excited to meet people and sign these. Who knows, maybe even after the show everybody who buys a vinyl or CD, we’ll meet and sign it. It has turned into one of my favorite shows throughout my whole career, coming back home and doing this. We’re also going to be shooting a music video that night. We’re doing a little bit of everything.”
One dollar from each ticket sale will go toward Mae’s Miracle, a charity based in Altamont funding research into Leigh Syndrome.
