The Illinois Department of Transportation has announced lane closures on Old U.S. 50 from east of Pipeline Road to 13th Street on the west side of Carlyle in Clinton County will begin at seven Monday morning, weather permitting.
Flaggers will maintain two-way traffic.
The lane closures are necessary for resurfacing and ADA improvements and are expected to be completed by late July.
Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes during this closure. Drivers are urged to reduce speed, be alert for changing conditions, obey all construction signage, and refrain from using mobile devices while approaching and traveling through the work zone.
