A 36-year-old Centralia man has been sentenced to a combined three years in prison after pleading guilty in Marion County Court to criminal trespass to an occupied residence, theft, aggravated battery with great bodily harm, and possession of under five grams of methamphetamine.
Aaron Hubbard of Gragg Street is accused of entering and remaining in a home in the 500 block of South Elm in August of 2024 when he knew or had reason to know that one or more persons were present. The aggravated battery charged stemmed from a June incident when Hubbard and another inmate allegedly struck a third inmate at the Marion County Jail. As part of the plea, two other theft charges were dropped.
When getting out of prison, Hubbard will have to serve six months mandatory supervised release. He was given credit for 94 days served in the Marion County Jail awaiting action on his cases.
The prison term will also run concurrently with two three-year prison sentences handed down earlier in Clinton County Court on separate theft charges.
