New Assistant Regional Superintendent of Schools John Consolino.

The Principal and Superintendent of the Iuka Grade School has announced his resignation effective June 30th.

In a letter to parents, families and the Iuka Grade School community, John Consolino says he has met some of the most wonderful people and has been able to become a part of so many amazing kids’ lives over the past 14 years. He considers it a great honor to have spent that time with the Iuka Grade School
Community.

Consolino says over the course of his years at Iuka, there have been many highs and lows and they have lived through all of them, always together. He says he’s seen a community of people that come together and support each other, no matter how tough the circumstances. Consolino says there have been some tears, but mostly smiles and laughter and he sincerely hopes that he has been able to add to the joy of the school.

Consolino notes they have worked hard, had fun and continued to strive towards excellence for students and staff. He says it is all those factors that have made this decision a difficult one but he looks forward to continuing being a part of the Iuka Grade School family.

Consolino says over the next couple of months, he will be transitioning into his new position. He is not yet announcing that position, but expects to in the near future.
