Marion ‘Bunny’ Garrett won an open seat on the Centralia City Council in Tuesday’s consolidated election. Robert ‘Rob’ Jackson won a second term and was the top vote-getter. Andrew Heser went down in defeat in the three-candidate race to fill two seats on the council.
Jackson is looking forward to another four years.
“A special thank you so much for the voters who came out to support me. I’m looking forward to another four years and looking to continue to do some good work. We just adopted our comprehensive plan, we’re going to be working that. We have some large projects like the water treatment project which we are finishing up.”
The unofficial vote totals from Marion and Clinton Counties show Jackson with 524 votes, Garrett with 494 votes, and Heser with 275.
