Catherine Sue Kelly, 71, of Odin, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.
Catherine enjoyed going to rummage sales and word searches. Catherine had the Gift of Gab and she loved spending time with her sisters, family, and friends.
Per Catherine’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at 3:00 PM at the Peaceful Valley Cemetery in Odin. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home and Cremation Services at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618)532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Kelly Family. She was born September 4, 1949, in Centralia, the daughter of Steven Evans, Sr. and Beulah Fern (Wooters) Evans. She married Michael “Mick” G. Kelly on October 5, 1969, and he preceded her in death on July 11, 2017.
Catherine is survived by her three children: Bill Kelly and wife Melissa of Odin, Missy Dickinson and husband Mike of Centralia, and Keith Kelly of Odin; nine grandchildren: Chelsea Simmons and special friend Jordan DeWolf of Centralia, Kameron Householder and husband Brady of West Frankfort, Braden Kelly of Odin, Jayda Kelly of Central City, Lukas Kelly of Salem, Madden Plaintz of Centralia, Jaden Dickinson, Alannah Dickinson, and Madelyn Dickinson all of Centralia; two great-grandchildren: Kynsleigh Simmons and Hadley Erwin; a sister: Agnes Horton of Central City; three brothers-in-law: Lewis Storey of Odin, Rick Kelly and wife Terri of Centralia, and Larry Kelly and wife Marsha of Salem; two sisters-in-law: Janet Evans of Washington and Betty Evans of Centralia; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers: Steve “Sonny” Evans, Jr. and Joe Evans, a sister: Frances Storey, a sister-in-law: June Kelly, and three brothers-in-law: Fred Kelly, Robert “Bob” Kelly, and Walter Horton.
