Police Beat for Sunday, October 13th, 2024

Salem Police arrested 43-year-old Sascha Weiss of East Church in Salem for aggravated domestic battery.   He was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a decision on formal charges.

65-year-old Allen Phillips, who told authorities he was homeless, was arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Department for possession of a stolen vehicle.

Sandoval Police arrested 40-year-old Danielle Wuebbles of Ohio for alleged possession of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Three others were arrested on outstanding warrants.

  • 32-year-old Caleb Bushue of North Poplar in Farina was transferred from the Fayette County Jail at Vandalia on a Marion County 2016 traffic warrant.  The bond is set at $5,000.
  • 19-year-old Alana Schmidt of Richview Road in Mt. Vernon was arrested by Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies on a no bond felony Marion County warrant.   She is also being held without bond.
  • 32-year-old Jamal Webster of East Calumet in Centralia was arrested by Central City Police on a no-bond Marion County major traffic warrant.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department was called to the 4900 block of Brubaker Road in rural Salem around 1:40 Sunday morning to what sounded like six gunshots outside of the caller’s home.  A deputy remained in the area until 2:15 Sunday morning but did not hear any gunshots.
